Primary Function
We're looking for a detail-oriented, curious Proofreader who will also support copywriting and content management. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who loves words and enjoys working in a fast-moving, deadline-driven creative environment. Working closely with editors, designers, strategists, project managers, compliance partners, and digital teams, you'll help ensure every communication is accurate, clear, compliant, and on brand.
Pay: $40-45/hour
Location: Pennington, NJ
Hybrid: Onsite 3 days per week
Duties & Responsibilities
- Proofread participant-facing communications across print, email, web, and digital channels at key stages.
- Review content for clarity, ensure edits were accurately implemented, grammar, brand consistency, disclosures, links, dates, and compliance requirements.
- Support the development of benefit-related educational and promotional materials.
- Partner with strategists, project managers, editors, designers, compliance partners, and digital teams to deliver high-quality work on deadline.
- Incorporate stakeholder feedback quickly while maintaining quality and accuracy.
- Manage multiple projects, review cycles, templates, and editorial standards in a fast-paced production environment.
- Contribute ideas that improve participant understanding and engagement.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong command of grammar, punctuation, style, and clear written communication.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and revise quickly based on feedback.
- Familiarity with digital content, email marketing, editorial style guides, or workflow/content management platforms.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of professional writing, proofreading, marketing, or communications experience.
- Experience writing or editing corporate, marketing, financial, healthcare, or benefits-related communications.
- Adobe Workfront, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, CMS platforms, Adobe Acrobat review tools, or Microsoft 365 applications preferred.
- Accessibility, content quality review, workplace benefits, retirement, healthcare, or financial services communications preferred.
