Job Announcement: Communications Manager
Reports To: VP, Development
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: $55,000 to $65,000, commensurate with experience
Location: In person at TriGolf, 12201 Leesville Road, Raleigh, NC, with regular travel throughout the Triangle
About Us
First Tee — Triangle helps young people build the character, confidence, and resilience to take on whatever comes next. We pair the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, creating active learning experiences that build inner strength kids carry into the classroom, their relationships, and their futures.
Our programs reach young people at golf courses, schools, and community centers across the Triangle, and at TriGolf, our home facility in Raleigh, opening doors to a game, a community, and opportunities many of them might never have had otherwise.
Position Summary
The Communications Manager is the storyteller and brand steward for First Tee — Triangle. You will own how our organization shows up across every channel, from social media and our website to press coverage, donor materials, and event promotion.
You will lead marketing and storytelling across three areas of our work: TriGolf, our golf course and home facility; our youth programs; and our fundraising efforts. You will balance their priorities in one cohesive brand.
This role goes beyond executing posts and flyers. You will shape strategy, set the editorial calendar, and make sure every audience (families, donors, sponsors, partners, and the broader community) understands the impact we have on young people on and off the course. Working closely with leadership, golf operations, program staff, and the development team, you will turn real moments at TriGolf and in our programs into stories that inspire people to get involved and give.
This is a highly visible, in-person role. You will represent First Tee — Triangle at programs, events, and community gatherings throughout the Triangle and model our deep commitment to the young people we serve.
