The big picture: Axios is a media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are seeking a temporary Events Logistics Coordinatorto provide part-time, administrative support for the events execution team for our rapidly expanding events business during Q1 of 2026, with the potential for extension until the end of the calendar year based on business needs and performance.
Why it matters: We need a logistics coordinator with strong administrative and events support experience who can manage essential event materials, client-facing documentation, and provide necessary logistical support. This is a part-time role, requiring approximately 15-20 hours per week. This person will collaborate across the events team to manage guest lists, track event analytics, support basic content and design element creation (signage, website, deck creation), and perform administrative tasks.
Go deeper: This is a part-time role that will support a portfolio of events from January 1, 2026 through March 1, 2026, with the potential to extend based on business need and performance.
Key Responsibilities (Approx. 15-20 hours per week)
- Logistical & Event Support
- Assist in the preparation of detailed event documentation such as seating charts, packing lists, and event deliverables.
- Organize and ship event materials (signage, swag, collateral) as needed.
- Develop and maintain event registration pages, ensuring details and accuracy at all times.
- May be required to attend and assist events as onsite registration and logistics support on a case-by-case basis. This may include light set-up and teardown of event, guest check-in, and supply management.
- Guest & Stakeholder Coordination
- Help manage event RSVPs, guest confirmations, check-in tools, and data for post-event analytics.
- Coordinate event deliverables and logistics across external vendors, designers, and content teams.
- Administrative Support
- Track administrative follow-ups such as maintaining records of contracts and documentation for vendors, and shipping logistics.
- Book photographers and submit invoices.
- Organize and ship event materials (signage, swag, collateral) as needed.
- Develop and maintain registration pages, ensuring details and accuracy at all times.
Worthy of your time: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for Axios’ mission, and have the following skills:
- 1–3 years of experience in events, marketing support, or related administrative roles with demonstrated success supporting multiple events or projects simultaneously.
- At least 1 year of Events support experience is required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Flexible with a proven ability to think critically in high pressure situations.

- Competent in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Familiarity with event marketing platforms (i.e. Splash and Sailthru) is a plus.
- Experience with Adobe Suite products is a plus.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and event tools such as Splash, Cvent, or Airtable is a plus.
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including occasional support during early mornings or evenings for live events.

Contract Details
- Target Engagement Period: Two months with potential to extend to 12 months (January 1st through December 31, 2026) (note: all employment with Axios is at-will)
- Job Details: Part-time, temporary, non-exempt W2 role.
- Compensation: Competitive hourly rate of $27.50, based on experience and geographic location.
