Swoon is actively seeking a DemandGen Specialist to join the team!
THIS IS A PART-TIME ROLE THAT WILL BE 20 HOURS A WEEK!
What your day-to-day will look like?
- Audit, rebuild, and optimize HubSpot (lifecycle stages, lead scoring, workflows, attribution tracking, dashboards) to create a clean, measurable marketing-to-sales funnel.
- Design, launch, and continuously optimize multi-touch outbound sequences in Apollo (email + LinkedIn), including segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing to drive qualified discovery meetings.
- Implement and manage email deliverability infrastructure (domain warming, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, inbox rotation, bounce monitoring) to protect sender reputation and improve reply rates.
- Build and manage top-of-funnel programs including programmatic SEO landing pages, nurture workflows, bi-weekly newsletter distribution, and developer-focused content operations.
- Plan, launch, and optimize paid acquisition campaigns (Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads), managing budget allocation and reporting on CPL, CPC, and demo conversion performance.
- Monitor developer communities (e.g., DevOps/SRE forums, Discord, Reddit, GitHub) to identify engagement opportunities, coordinate founder responses, and surface sponsorship/event opportunities.
- Own marketing-to-sales alignment by defining MQL criteria, briefing SDRs weekly on high-priority accounts and intent signals, ensuring clean lead routing, and reporting on meetings booked, show rates, and overall pipeline performance.
What’s Required? / Technical Skills
- 3+ years in B2B SaaS demand generation or marketing operations, ideally within developer tools, infrastructure, observability, or DevOps-focused products targeting technical buyers.
- Deep hands-on HubSpot expertise — ability to build workflows, lifecycle stages, lead scoring models, attribution tracking, reporting dashboards, and manage full-funnel automation without external support.
- Experience with Apollo (or similar outbound sequencing tools) — proven ability to build multi-touch email + LinkedIn sequences that generate replies and meetings from technical personas (SRE, DevOps, VP Engineering, CTO).
- Strong understanding of email deliverability best practices, including SPF/DKIM/DMARC setup, domain warming, inbox rotation, sender reputation management, and bounce monitoring.
- Paid acquisition experience, including Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads campaign setup, budget management, A/B testing, and performance optimization focused on demo requests and pipeline creation.
- Startup operator mindset — comfortable building demand gen systems from scratch in a lean environment, operating autonomously without a marketing team, and working directly with founders.
- Ability to write credibly for a technical audience, with working familiarity of DevOps/SRE/observability concepts (e.g., logs, OpenTelemetry, infrastructure tooling) to create messaging that resonates with engineering leadership.
