We break funding news, publish original reporting, produce founder and investor interviews, and distribute content to millions of founders, investors, operators, and executives every month.
We're building the media company we always wished existed for venture capital: fast, accurate, insightful, and deeply connected to the startup ecosystem.
This is not a traditional marketing role. This is the operating center of our editorial and media platform.
The Role
We're looking for someone who is genuinely terminally online.
You live on X before breakfast. You know which startups are raising before the press release drops. You recognize founders, investors, and firms instantly. You follow funding announcements, emerging AI companies, new funds, acquisitions, and market shifts because you actually enjoy it.
You'll own the systems that power TradedVC's news operation across editorial, newsletter, website, social media, and partnerships.
If you naturally consume venture capital news all day and constantly think, "this should already be posted," you'll probably love this role.
What You'll OwnVenture Capital Deal Desk
- Source, verify, and publish venture funding rounds, acquisitions, fund launches, exits, executive moves, and major industry announcements.
- Maintain exceptional data accuracy across our internal systems, including:
- Company
- Round size
- Lead investor
- Participating investors
- Industry
- Geography
- Valuation (when disclosed)
- Perform quality control before content reaches social media, newsletter, or editorial.
- Continuously improve our AI-powered deal sourcing and publishing workflows.
Editorial & News
Own the daily flow of venture capital news.
This includes:
- Funding rounds
- M&A activity
- New venture funds
- Founder news
- Investor moves
- AI developments
- Policy changes
- Market trends
- Ecosystem analysis
You'll separate signal from noise using primary sources, AI research tools, and your own judgment.
You'll write:
- Breaking news
- Deal summaries
- Short analysis
- Long-form articles
- Daily editorial pieces
- Industry reports
You'll help define the TradedVC editorial voice.
Newsletter
Own the TradedVC newsletter from start to finish.
Responsibilities include:
- Daily news selection
- Writing
- Editing
- Layout

You'll constantly improve:
- Open rates
- Click-through rates
- Subscriber growth

Social Media
Own TradedVC's voice across:

Video Content
Help maximize every interview we produce.

Enterprise Partnerships
Support execution for advertising and media partnerships.

Qualifications
- 1–3+ years in content, journalism, media, venture capital, startups, research, or a related field
- Exceptional writing ability
- Deep interest in startups, technology, AI, and venture capital
- Strong understanding of internet culture and modern media
- Comfortable using AI tools daily, including ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Grok, and similar platforms
- Experience managing social media platforms professionally
- Excellent organizational skills
- Highly proactive and self-directed
- Strong editorial judgment
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
