Role Overview
The Assistant Manager Content and Marketing Operations plays a supporting role in executing NYX Professional Makeup’s brand presence and engagement through compelling marketing content ideation, planning, and execution through various touchpoints. This role focuses on assisting in the development and implementation of brand content across various platforms for key brand moments and activations. This includes contributing to the identification of content opportunities, supporting the creation of innovative content integrations, and assisting with the management and organization of marketing content calendar. The ideal candidate is a creative and organized individual with a good understanding of Gen Z culture and a passion for beauty.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Planning & Implementation for Key Brand Moments & Activations:
- Support in executing integrated content planning for new launches, collabs, key brand moments, and retailer content needs.
- Assist in crafting narratives and messaging that resonate with gen z audiences.
- Contribute to the ideation and development of content across multiple platforms, with a focus on social media, digital, and A+ PDP content.
- Assist in managing content calendars and ensure timely execution of plans.
- Trend spotting and social listening for marketing content needs:
- Support the team in staying abreast of social media trends via social listening
- Conduct research and analysis of emerging trends and social conversations to inform content creation and maintain the brand moments calendar
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to integrate content seamlessly into larger brand campaigns.

- Assist in exploring and experimenting with emerging content types and platforms to maximize engagement and viral potential.
- Translate marketing content briefs and source production for execution.
- Monitor content performance and analyze key metrics
- Organizational planning & marketing operations support:
- Assist in maintaining marketing calendar and keeping up to date
- Assist in creating activation timelines for marketing team projects and activations
- Assist in consumer sentiment sourcing via ratings and reviews program management
- Maintain monthly brand newsletter and brand communications
- Assist VP marketing with team’s meeting planning and calendar management.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with Marketing team cross-functional teams (Creative, Consumer Engagement, Media) to ensure cohesive brand collaborations
- Maintain open communication and provide regular updates on project progress
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in content marketing, brand marketing, or a related field.
- Understanding of Gen Z culture and the social and digital media landscape.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work within established content strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Passion for the beauty industry and current beauty trends.
- Basic understanding of emerging trends and viral opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills and experience with calendars and timelines.
