Position Overview
Bland Landscaping needs a proactive, creative, results-driven Marketing Manager to create and execute company-wide marketing initiatives. The primary responsibility of this new hire will be to manage tactical functions of day-to-day marketing efforts and provide dedicated support to the vice president of sales. The selected candidate will drive brand awareness through lead generation, business development, creative concepts and customer engagement utilizing digital and traditional marketing strategies.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong background in social media management, digital media, and event planning. The candidate will work with a team-first mindset and showcase deep understanding of how marketing concepts intersect with real-life internal and external communications campaigns. What You’ll Do At Bland Landscaping (Responsibilities)
Strategy + Business Development
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans and strategies aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to develop targeted marketing campaigns and lead generation tools for new and existing clients.
- Analyze marketing data, prepare reports, and provide insights to optimize campaigns.
- Work closely with executive leaders on long-range and strategic planning.
Creative + Brand Management
- Coordinate with external vendors and agencies (graphic designers, photographers, printers) as needed.
- Maintain and promote brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Serve as the hub for all imagery and creative assets.
Event Management
- Plan, coordinate, and travel to marketing events including trade shows, customer appreciation events, internal celebrations, and community outreach initiatives.
- Maintain CRM database and coordinate all post-event marketing efforts.
- Serve as point-of-contact for swag warehousing and distribution.
Digital
- Manage and update the company’s website content including performance and SEO optimization.
- Collaborate with on-staff videographer/photographer to create, schedule, and monitor content across all social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
- Design and manage internal and external email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and print collateral.
- Support internal communication efforts by capturing stories surrounding employee spotlights, company updates, and HR campaigns.
What You Will Bring to the Team (Qualifications & Skills)
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related field.
- At least 5 years of marketing and communications experience.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping an eye on the details.
- Proficiency with these types of programs:
- Newsletter services (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Flodesk, etc.)
- Design programs (Canva, Adobe InDesign, Powerpoint, etc.)
- WordPress, or alternate website management tools.
- CRM (Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
- Major social media platforms and management programs (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Metricool, etc.)
- Strong writing, editing, project management, and organizational skills.
- Experience working in the landscaping, construction, property management, or service industry is a plus, but not required.
