Email Marketing Specialist

Responsibilities:
Campaign Execution:
- Support the company’s marketing programs with a focus on email and SMS production, deployment, and scheduling.
- Schedule, monitor, and manage email and SMS campaigns, ensuring timely execution.
- Validate deliverability, rendering, and performance using testing tools such as Email on Acid or similar platforms.
- Own the day-to-day administration, QA, troubleshooting, and optimization of CRM marketing platforms including email, SMS, audience segmentation, automation journeys, triggers, and customer-facing experiences. Assign customer segments and audiences to each campaign based on target strategy and business goals.
- Investigate issues independently, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution across internal teams and external vendors.
- Populate and update existing templates or create new ones with creative assets provided by the design team for daily email and SMS sends.
- Link images, calls-to-action (CTAs), and landing pages to site assets, with a focus on maximizing conversion through strategic linking and landing page optimization.
- Add alternate text, meta-data, and other essential information to enhance deliverability and improve SEO impact.
- Act as the primary coordinator for CRM initiatives, ensuring alignment across Creative, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Analytics, Technology, and vendor partners. Proactively communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and next steps. Collaborate with site merchants to ensure featured product availability and placement on the site aligns with marketing initiatives.
- Collect and coordinate approvals from key stakeholders for final communication assets prior to deployment.
- Execute and monitor A/B testing strategies for content, subject lines, pre-headers, and cadence to optimize performance. Serve as the primary QA lead for email, SMS, trigger campaigns, landing-page destinations, tracking parameters, and customer journeys. Develop and maintain QA standards, checklists, and documentation to ensure flawless execution.”
- Create, maintain, and own campaign calendars, blueprints, process documentation, QA checklists, testing plans, and performance recaps. Ensure all materials are accurate, complete, and ready for cross-functional use.
Reporting and Optimization:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and seasonal performance reports to keep internal stakeholders informed about campaign outcomes.
- Analyze customer behavior, campaign performance, audience trends, and automation results to identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations that improve engagement, conversion, and retention.
- Compile reports and presentations that integrate campaign performance, imagery, and product information to inform business strategies.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience working in a marketing department, with a specific focus on email and SMS marketing production, deployment, and scheduling.
- Strong understanding of audience segmentation, customer lifecycle, and contact strategy.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret marketing data and derive actionable insights to optimize campaigns.
- Familiarity with email and SMS compliance regulations, such as CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and TCPA, as well as best practices for deliverability and engagement.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including creative, merchandising, and technical stakeholders.
- Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools, troubleshooting issues and resolving challenges independently.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adapting to changing business needs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint),and project and creative management tools such as Robohead or similar.
- Experience with email marketing platforms (Cordial, Attentive) and testing tools (Email on Acid).
- Basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or image editing tools to support creative editing as needed.
- Comfortable working in cloud-based shared folder systems (Box, Teams).
- Familiarity with generative AI tools (e.g., CoPilot, Claude) to support content development and optimization.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
