Job Title: Benefits Specialist
Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Employment Type: (Contract – 9 Months)
We are hiring a Benefits Specialist to support employee benefits and wellness programs for a dynamic and growing organization. This is a great opportunity for an HR or Benefits professional who enjoys working hands-on with benefits operations, employee communications, vendor coordination, and program support.
This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent employee service skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support multiple employee benefits programs
- Manage benefits vendors, invoices, audits, and contract documentation
- Monitor and manage the benefits inbox and respond to employee inquiries within defined timelines
- Resolve employee issues and escalate complex cases when required
- Track and manage wellness, fitness membership, and education reimbursement programs
- Create and distribute employee-facing benefits and wellness communications
- Produce a weekly employee wellness newsletter and engagement content
- Support benefits projects, new program launches, and employee events
- Coordinate Benefits and 401(k) committee meetings
- Compile reports, employee census data, and program metrics
- Partner with HR and vendors to ensure smooth program delivery
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS)
- 1–2 years of HR or Benefits experience
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable communicating with employees and vendors by phone and email
- Strong computer and technical skills
Preferred:
- Experience with benefits administration and vendor coordination
- Exposure to wellness or employee engagement programs
- Familiarity with UKG / UltiPro or similar HRIS systems
Work Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)
